BJD were appointed by the developer to lead the architectural design from Stage 1-3 and to review, comment and approve the contractor’s work during stages 4-6 of the D&B contract.

The scope includes new finishes, landscaping, branding and signage to the exterior, and a full strip out and Cat A fit out to the interior including new WCs, showers and cycle storage.

The design incorporates exposed services to take full advantage of the buildings generous slab-to-slab floor heights of 3.1M on the ground floor and nearly 5M at the roof ridge of the first floor.

Light, bright crisp finishes were used to further accentuate the volume of the space and create a bold energy in keeping with the building’s new brand. 

 

BJD worked further with the client and agent, creating speculative Cat B designs and renderings for their marketing materials which illustrate how well the building is suited to use as a fantastic workplace and laboratory space.
